Lindbergh stowed a bag of mail in his little DH-4 biplane and took off from Chicago for St. Louis. Later that day, he and two other pilots flew three planeloads of mail from St. Louis to Chicago.

Lindbergh was chief pilot of Robertson Aircraft Corporation, the second aviation company to hold a U.S. airmail contract, and one of the scores of companies that eventually consolidated to form modern-day American Airlines.

Responsibilities:

  • The Customer Service Agent interacts with customers in a courteous, efficient, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Promotes and sells air travel to the traveling public or freight forwarders.
  • Assists with passenger check-in and cargo acceptance.
  • Interprets government rules and requirements for domestic and international travel or cargo shipments.
  • Uses organizational skills to perform multiple tasks within a limited period.
  • Is self-motivated and requires minimal supervision.
  • Responds to and assists during security and emergencies.
  • Follows internal/external policies and procedures.
  • May be required to drive and operate air stairs up to various types of aircraft to enplane and deplane passengers.
  • Meets and dispatches aircraft within established times.
